We went end of July for a week to Tyrol. First time we would stay in the Mountains for holidays, usually we try to go to some Island and have the seaside nearby. After 14 hours in the Bus we arrived pretty tired at our hotel...it was so early (5.45 A.M) that the door was even closed but after a few Minutes a Lady came with her Bike and opened us.

We got some Rest on some seats with tables before being able at about seven to get our breakfast. before that I made a little tour around the hotel and was completely amazing. The garden was absolutely gorgeous and there were long chairs in it to get some rest and a swimming pool. In the Underground of the hotel was a wellness area with several Saunas, restrooms, cold rooms and some cold and hot water bathes to go in with your feet. There were also two whirlpools (that had to be paid while the sauna, etc. was included in the prize) And you could get Massages and special Bathes with healing powers, pedicure and Manicure, Facemasks (also extras) The first time I saw the garden of the hotel and its Mountains in the background I left my mouth open so amazed I was.

After we finally got our room (with a shower and a balcony ;-) with a nice view) and some rest we had a little walk to see a bit what was the village like and the surroundings. We were in the little Village of Ried in a valley called Oberinntal, near Landeck which is an hour by train to Innsbruck.

We started every day with a very nice Breakfast. Often Coffee isn't tasty in hotels, here it was. There were great choices of everything, even different kinds of cereals. Alain was making Walking into the area (which would be too hard for me as it grimps pretty high) and he had some really breathtaking views. Unfortunately the first digital camera (which he used) had some Memory error and so all those pictures were gone :-( I did make a daytrip to both Italy and Switzerland ( who were only about 25 km from the place were we stayed) to take a special train called Bernina Express. We first stayed in Tirano, Italy and took the train there to Pontresina in Switzerland passing by breathtaking landscapes ;-) There we went for an hour to Saint Moritz, which was a very nice Town with a huge Lake. Next day I had a walk with Alain longing the River to the next village passing on the way back by a Sea. We did also talk a lot with a eleven year old Boy called Alain and his Grandma and enjoyed the swimming pools (inside and outside) if the hotel with him. One day we also went to South Tyrol by bus but while the landscape were pretty, taking the bus 2 hours and a half was way to long, especially as there were no toilet in the bus :-( and it was really getting urgent and painful in the end and also because we could stay only 70 Minutes in Mirano until the LAST Bus would go back to Austria. One day I went on my own by train to the very pretty city of Innsbruck (while Alain made another tour into the Mountains) I enjoyed it pretty much and went swimming after coming back to the hotel ;-) It was also the day of a Gala Dinner in the hotel ;-) and a concert of the Orchestra of the village. There were wood tables and banks everywhere in the park opposite to the Hotel and most people enjoyed a beer or more outside while listening to the Music. The day before the last we went together with Alain to half-day trip to the Glaciers and that was really completely awesome. I have to say that one week was way to fast over. The last day I had a well doing bath and took the train to Hanover to visit a few days my Mum who was again in the Hospital, while Alain went home with that Bus. Now my Mum is home again but has still pain in her feet :-(
