Barry Adamson recently released the critically acclaimed "The King Of Nothing Hill" album on Mute in September, which includes the current single 'Whispering Streets'. Born and raised in Moss Side, Manchester, Barry Adamson, former bassist in Magazine and a founder member of Nick Cave's illustrious Bad Seeds, released his debut solo "Moss Side Story" in 1989. Adamson has forged his own highly acclaimed solo career with a series of distinctive and thematically linked soundscape albums: the Mercury Music Prize nominated "Soul Murder" (1992), "The Negro Inside Me" (1993), "Oedipus Schmoedipus" (1996) and "As Above So Below" (1998). Barry Adamson has also written for numerous film soundtracks, most notably Derek Jarman's ?Last Of England? (1989) and David Lynch's ?Lost Highway? (1996).
